Dr. Toyin Samuel Olowogbon is a distinguished Agricultural Economist with a Master’s and Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria. With over 15 years of experience in advancing agricultural development and agripreneurship, Dr. Olowogbon is dedicated to leveraging agripreneurship as a key solution to Africa’s challenges of hunger, poverty, and unemployment. He aspires to lead the agricultural revolution on the continent, focusing on creating a food-secure and prosperous Africa with empowered smallholder farmers.

Over the past decade, Dr. Olowogbon has pioneered agricultural innovations aimed at enhancing the productivity and incomes of smallholder farmers, particularly women and youth, while fostering an inclusive, sustainable agricultural sector. He is also a successful entrepreneur, co-founding four organizations that align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He was also honored with the Young African Innovators Award (West Africa) by the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) in 2019.
